CONTEXT

For Cabaleta's Laberinto, I worked as Creative Director, translating the intent behind Guille's music into a visual world that could extend across the album and its promotion.

The record marked a new sound for the band, drawing from classic rock while exploring introspection, loss, uncertainty and the end of chapters. I built the visual direction around 80s-inspired imagery and modern typography, balancing nostalgia with something contemporary.

The system extended across album artwork, digital content, YouTube, live show visuals and Meta advertising. For the vinyl release, I collaborated with Cris is in Crisis to translate that world into a physical record.

Making of

Laberinto

As part of the creative direction for Laberinto, I developed a documentary around the making of the album. Guillermo Noriega had spent nearly two years writing the record, and I wanted to capture the work, uncertainty and love behind that process rather than create another promotional piece.

We followed the band to Estudio Naranja in Bogotá, Colombia, where the album was recorded with producer Pedro Rovetto. The approach was intimate and observational, documenting the recording process, conversations and people behind the music.

I developed the concept and creative direction alongside Miguel Pereira, who directed and edited the film. Edgardo Ugueto and I worked behind the camera, with Daniel Corbeira also contributing to the documentary team.
